Real Madrid vs Espanyol - 21st September 2010

After his goal in the Real Sociedad match was given to Pepe, Cristiano Ronaldo finally scored his first goal for Real Madrid this season and helped them win 3-0 over Espanyol.

Espanyol's good start was spoiled just before the half hour when Ronaldo was given a free kick. Luis Garcia used his hand to bat the ball away and the referee gave Ronaldo a penalty. He scored the first time but the referee disallowed it and ordered him to try again. He made no mistake second time around for his first goal of the season.

It was a difficult game with both teams reduced to 10 men after Cristiano's teammate Pepe picked up two yellow cards in quick succession and Ernesto Galan was shown a straight red after felling Ronaldo.

Both teams had numerous chances before Higuain scored making it 2-0 to Real Madrid. Karim Benzema then replaced Higuain and made it 3-0 with almost his first touch, hooking the ball into the net from inside the area.

Pics in the Gallery and video of Cristiano highlights from the match coming soon!

Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Manchester United?!?!?

According to Goal.com spain, Manchester United are preparing a sensational $100 million bid to bring back their former player Cristiano Ronaldo! and according to these "sources" Cristiano would consider moving back as he is apparently miserable with his role at Real Madrid hindering his goal-scoring!

No doubt there are Manchester United fans who would be happy at seeing one of their greatest players of recent years return, but even the most optimistic of them will have to admit that the odds of this deal happening are astronomically high.

We all know Cristiano was thinking about moving to Real Madrid 3 years before it finally happened in 2009, His relationship with Manchester United was dire in the months before he left and it was clear to everybody he was unhappy there. I find it really hard to believe that after at least 2 years of secret talks, haggling and deals with Cristiano that Real Madrid would let him go after just 1 season! (A season in which he played really well!) especially after paying those astronomical fees for him in the first place!

I may be wrong but I think we should just label this as a crazy rumour :)

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad - 18th September 2010

A stunning effort from Angel Di Maria and a free kick from Cristiano Ronaldo was enough to give Real Madrid all three points against Real Sociedad last week.

Real Madrid began the game with a couple of opportunities through Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain, and a Ronaldo free kick flashed just wide.

Despite their dominance in possession during the opening period they failed to create any clear cut chances.

With the game becoming more and more scrappy it was Sociedad who were having the best of it, as Madrid unleashed attack after attack.

The Sociedad defence held firm and helped launch a number of incisive counter attacks.

Madrid were having to do more defending than getting forward, as Ronaldo, Mesut Ozil and Higuain were almost anonymous going in to the half time break.

It only took Madrid five minutes after the break to grab the opening goal.

However they gave away a free kick letting Real Sociedad score an equaliser making it 1-1.

Ronaldo, who cut a frustrated figure for most of the game put his team back into the lead once more with a stunning free kick that hit Pepe in the back and right into the net.

Iker Casillas defends Cristiano against selfish slurs...from his own girlfriend!

Iker Casillas's girlfriend Sara Carbonero insulted her boyfriends teammate Cristiano Ronaldo this week labelling him selfish.

It all started early this week when rumours were abound that Ronaldo was apparently seeing a psychologist for depression but Sara shot down those rumours according to the Daily Star saying

"He is not depressed. He has not visited any psychologists, He is just selfish. He has always been like that - selfish and an individualist"

"The problem is that he was bought for 80 million pounds and when he does anything wrong he can't be forgiven,"

However it appears that her boyfriend Iker Casillas who also happens to be Cristiano's teammate does not agree and just days after she apparently insulted Cristiano, he hit out defending his teammate saying

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a fantastic person. He is a great team mate. We both share the desire and ambition of playing hard and winning matches"

“He is not selfish at all. All he wants is to score a lot of goals.”

"I never had, nor have, nor ever will have no problem with Cristiano Ronaldo because he is a fantastic teammate. He's selfish, but in the good way, because he was born to score goals. This selfishness infects the entire team,"

Hmmm it seems to me that Iker is trying to be a peacemaker between Sara and Cristiano! Or maybe the rumours about Cristiano and Iker betting on who would bed Sara first are true after all! ;)

Massive Apologies for the lack of updates!

I just want to say I am so so sorry for not updating this past week. As well as my internet being off AND my laptop being broke I started college last week and so my life recently has been a bit crazy!

I hope that you can forgive me and that you won't give up on this site because I am planning some big things for it!

Keep checking back today as I update with all the weeks Cristiano news!

Real Madrid vs Ajax - 15th September 2010

After begining the season with 2 slow and wobbly games Real Madrid had to step it up to prove that they were real contenders to win the Champions League and that is exactly what they did.

Real Madrid dominated most of the game with Vurnon Anita's own goal half an hour into the game and then Higuain scoring at 73 minutes giving Real Madrid A 2-0 win.

Unfortunately although they won, It wasn't a good game for Cristiano. As well as not scoring he was jeered at and booed during the game by the Real Madrid supporters.

It seems the star has driven a wedge between himself and the fickle fans after publicly critising their lack of support during a press conference this week and after a series of high and wide shots it seemed the fans had had enough.

Poor Cristiano!

As usual there is a video of Cristiano highlights below and pictures will be in the gallery soon!

He puts on his jeans but cannot find his shirt and so starts looking for it while the maid gets a few sneaky looks at his rippling abs. She finds the shirt but after deciding he looks better with it off she hides it without telling him as he continues to look for it fruitlessly.

Come on girls! Let's not pretend that we wouldn't do the same thing :)

Cristiano Ronaldo: "I have a special feeling about this season"

Cristiano Ronaldo is confident things will improve for Real Madrid and has a feeling the team will win a title this season.

He recently spoke about his team Real Madrid, Barcelona and their chances of winning a title this season at a press conference for Real Madrid. Real Madrid's official website posted a translation of what he said

"This club, as always, has the ambition to win the Champions League. I have a special feeling about this season. We can win, but we cannot put pressure on ourselves. We have all the necessary ingredients to win the competition, but we have to take one step at a time."

"We are happy with our game on Saturday. Our goal was to win the match and take three points. We can play better and score more strikes. I'm sure we'll do better, we'll grow more confident and we'll win. We are going to win this year. I have a feeling we will. I am ambitious and I want to win. Mourinho is the best coach in the world and I'm sure we will win and create spectacle."

"At times it isn't possible to play well and be spectacular. It's better for the fans to help us and motivate us to play well. Our supporters have fun when the team plays well and scores goals, but we can't thrill them with brilliance all the time. It is on occasion convenient for fans to thrill players as well. All of us at the stadium want what's best for Real Madrid and, together, we can make this a feared  team at home."

"I don't think Barcelona are weaker this year because the season has just started. I was surprised by their defeat because I didn't expect it, but you can't value a situation when only two games have taken place."

"I'm sure Mourinho didn't just mean I alone had to be protected by referees. I'm sure he also meant other players, and not just those at Real Madrid. In general, people who create spectacle should be overprotected."

"I'm sure I will soon score again. Don't worry about it. We have to think exclusively about winning right now. This team is under construction; many of us had never played together before."

Real Madrid vs Osasuna - 11th September 2010

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the pitch for the first time last night since  suffering an ankle injury less than two weeks ago. He started for Real Madrid in their game against Osasuna which they won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ricardo Carvalho.

Speaking after the match, Ronaldo admitted that the performance had not been of a high standard, but that he was happy to notch the first win of the season.

He commented: “We are pleased to win. We also know that Barcelona have lost, but more important was that we begin to win matches. We did not play great, but the important thing now is to win.

“I felt good. I’ve tried to do better but after 12 days without training it was good to play. I am very happy that Carvalho has scored. We are Portuguese team-mates. I am happy for him and the team.”

As usual there are more pictures of the match in the gallery and a video of Cristiano's highlights below.

Thanks Armani! x

Cristiano Ronaldo to return with Real Madrid in tomorrow's match

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo WILL play against Osasuna tomorrow night despite suffering an ankle injury less than TWO weeks ago!

Cristiano suffered an injury on his ankle after being tackled in the Real Madrid 0-0 draw with Mallorca and doctors said he would be out for 2-3 weeks meaning that he missed Portugal's two Euro 2012 qualifiers. However 10 days after suffering his injury, Mourinho believes that he is fit to start in the match tomorrow night.

"Cristiano Ronaldo will be a starter," Mourinho told Madrid's official website. "I am afraid of the possibility he may get injured again. I am afraid someone may hit him, but that's normal in football.

"He has been training at least five hours a day at Valdebebas. The medical staff and the player say he's 100 per cent fit to play, so he has the same risk of getting injured as the rest of his team-mates"

"He will play because he is fit and because it will be a difficult game. I know what team I will use tomorrow. I think seriously about it to come up with the best option. Players have to think about one game at a time, but the coach has to be capable of looking ahead"

Well I am certainly pleased! Mourinho wouldn't send him out if he wasn't 100% so Good Luck Cristiano! xxx

Cristiano Ronaldo - Time Force Watches Event - 8th September 2010

Cristiano Ronaldo was at an event promoting Timeforce watches last night in Madrid.

If you remember last month he posted behind-the-scenes pictures of his ad promoting them on his facebook and twitter pages.

While there he spoke about Madrid's current season and insisted that they would win some trophies and be more successful than last season.

"The goal is always the same: to win. We have a very good team and I am sure that if we work hard and have a little luck then we will win a title or two this year," the Portuguese attacker was quoted as saying on the official Madrid website.

"I will try to score as many goals as possible this year, but I will also provide assists and help in any way I can. Sometimes goals aren't what count. "I am always motivated and I want to win every game I play. I always have the same goal: to play well, help the team and win. I want to continue improving. I am a champion."

He also spoke about coach Jose Mourinho saying:

"I enjoy the pace of training sessions. I love the coach's methods and I am sure that he will give us a good chance of winning. He is one of the best managers in the world and we will do everything in our power to win. Mourinho is a winner. I am very happy to work for him. I am sure we will win a title this year."

Cristiano Ronaldo Latest Injury Update

Cristiano Ronaldo is pushing himself to be ready to make his return to the pitch for the Los Blancos' opening UEFA Champions League fixture against Ajax on the 15th September. After 10 days of indoor training and recovery Cristiano was seen back on the field training on his own this morning.

As everyone knows, he picked up an ankle injury in Real Madrid's opening game of the Spanish season against Mallorca and was expected to be out for at least three weeks, but could be about to beat the doctors' predictions to return a week early.

According to AS, Ronaldo spent the past 10 days in the pool and the gym to overcome the swelling he had on the affected area. That was the first stage and now he is apparently well into the second stage of his recovery which is working out on the pitch alone. This is according to AS a crucial test as he will be testing his ankle to see how it responds to the training.

However if nothing goes wrong then he could take part in a full training session with his teammates by the end of the week.

Did Wayne Rooney take a jab at 'friend' Cristiano Ronaldo?

Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney was under fire at the weekend over claims that he cheated on wife Coleen. A prostitute named Jenny Thompson has claimed that she slept with him over a number of months last year while Coleen was pregnant with their now 10 month old son Kai.

An interesting titbit from the story is that she claims that Rooney branded former teammate Ronaldo a  "f****** w*****",  "We were at a party one night and when Ronaldo walked past, and Wayne muttered it," The Sun quoted Thompson as saying.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney were well famed for having one of footballs finest and most oddball "bromances" over the years as Manchester United teammates.

However their friendship seemed to come under strain at the 2006 World Cup when Rooney (who was playing for England) fouled one of Ronaldo's (who was playing for Portugal) teammates and Ronaldo protested to the referee much to the anger of Rooney who was then sent off.

However after the game they claimed to still be friends despite sources from Man Utd claiming otherwise.

Personally I don't believe it's true, Ronaldo moved to Madrid in June and this prostitute claims that is when she met Rooney. I highly doubt Ronaldo has gone back to manchester in the past year that he has moved . I could be wrong but I think she has just been reading the tabloids and picking up on them to dramatise her story.

Yes, i know it's only a small little article but it's a slow news week and I wanted to give you something lol xxx

Jose Mourinho hits back at Cristiano Ronaldo diving allegations

Jose Mourinho has hit out at claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is a diver.

The Real Madrid coach was speaking at a UEFA coaches forum in Switzerland when he said that honest players such as Cristiano do not get sufficient protection from referees and match officials.

He said that Ronaldo was honest due to his time playing for Manchester United under the wing of Alex Ferguson.

AS have quoted him as saying "Cristiano is a player who does not have the culture of the swimming pool, he has no culture of simulation, he is a British-trained player, Ferguson trained,"

"In some cases, the simulators are given more protection and those who are honest are often the losers. I'm not a hypocrite if I say that they [defenders] hit Cristiano very hard, and that the yellow cards do not arrive or are slow in coming."

Meanwhile Cristiano today announced his plans to play in the September 15th match against Ajax.

Cristiano was injured on Sunday after being tackled during Real Madrid's game against Mallorca and since then he has been working six hours a day at the Real gym on his injury. It was announced on Monday that he would be unable to play for up to three weeks but today Cristiano insisted he would be back earlier saying

"I will try to reduce delays. I am working hard for it,"

We're all rooting for you Cristiano, Get Well Soon xxxx
