Jose Mourinho hits back at Cristiano Ronaldo diving allegations

Jose Mourinho has hit out at claims that Cristiano Ronaldo is a diver.

The Real Madrid coach was speaking at a UEFA coaches forum in Switzerland when he said that honest players such as Cristiano do not get sufficient protection from referees and match officials.

He said that Ronaldo was honest due to his time playing for Manchester United under the wing of Alex Ferguson.

AS have quoted him as saying "Cristiano is a player who does not have the culture of the swimming pool, he has no culture of simulation, he is a British-trained player, Ferguson trained,"

"In some cases, the simulators are given more protection and those who are honest are often the losers. I'm not a hypocrite if I say that they [defenders] hit Cristiano very hard, and that the yellow cards do not arrive or are slow in coming."

Meanwhile Cristiano today announced his plans to play in the September 15th match against Ajax.

Cristiano was injured on Sunday after being tackled during Real Madrid's game against Mallorca and since then he has been working six hours a day at the Real gym on his injury. It was announced on Monday that he would be unable to play for up to three weeks but today Cristiano insisted he would be back earlier saying

"I will try to reduce delays. I am working hard for it,"

We're all rooting for you Cristiano, Get Well Soon xxxx
