Last night Real Madrid played against Mallorca in the first game of the season and to say it was an underwhelming game is an understatement!Both teams failed to set the field alight resulting in a goalless draw although there was no lack of attempt from either team with both resorting to dirty tactics in attempts the get the ball from the opponant
Cristiano Ronaldo certainly played hard last night with his frustration and effort evident from the get go. He attempted (but failed) to score on numerous occasions.
Two real madrid players (one of them Cristiano) suffered from dirty tackles from the Mallorca team. He was seen during the match to have hurt his ankle after being tackled although he continued playing.Within hours of the match ending Real Madrid confirmed that Cristiano suffered from a contusion (severe bruising) on his ankle and this morning they confirmed that he would be unable to play for approximetly three weeks.
